Internal Audit

The Internal Audit function provides independent, objective assurance over the Enterprise's governance, risk management, and control processes, reporting directly to the Audit Committee of the Board of Governors.

Audit Mandate

Independence & Objectivity

Internal Audit operates with complete independence from management. All audit activities, work programmes, and reporting lines are established by the Audit Committee, not by executive management. This structural independence ensures that audit findings are objective, unbiased, and不受 management influence.

Scope & Methodology

The internal audit function employs a risk-based methodology, evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls across all Enterprise activities. The annual audit plan is approved by the Audit Committee and covers financial reporting, operational processes, compliance systems, and information technology controls.

Reporting & Accountability

The Chief Audit Executive reports functionally to the Audit Committee and administratively to the CEO. All audit reports are submitted directly to the Audit Committee, with management responses and remediation plans tracked to resolution. The Audit Committee reviews audit performance, resource adequacy, and the effectiveness of the internal audit function at each scheduled meeting.
